About NFD

The Nippon Flower Designers Association (NFD) was established in 1967 and became an incorporated association in 1969 with the approval of the Ministry of Education (currently the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology).
In 2010, NFD was recognized by the Cabinet Office as the only public interest incorporated association of floral designers.

NFD is a non-profit organization that provides certification and registration of floral designers, promotes floral design, and aims to contribute to the improvement of Japanese lifestyle culture.
The NFD’s objective is to promote and publicize floral design and to contribute to the improvement of Japanese lifestyle and culture.
Currently, there are 53 NFD chapters throughout Japan, with approximately 18,000 members and 9,000 NFD instructors.
Many NFD instructors and members are active in various fields related to flowers, such as lesson professionals and flower stores.
In addition to its various domestic activities, NFD is a member of the World Association of Floral Artists (WAFA), an international organization of floral designers from 31 countries and regions around the world. In addition to the WAFA, we have also
